'Tis the Season to be Jolly -- MudPies & PixieDust Photography

So one of my very dearest friends in the whole world recently had a baby. Wait, I have to divulge some background to this because really it IS just too good (unbelievable might be a better term) not to share. Rewind back to early last spring when I call to tell her the good news that we were expecting another baby. We chat about how they too are hoping to add another one to the family but no luck yet. Well, imagine my elation/surprise when several weeks later I get a call from her informing me that she's pregnant. YAYY!! I was so excited....BUT this is where it gets good. Not only was she pregnant, she'd been pregnant......for quite some time and hadn't even realized it. (Perhaps you've seen the show 'Pregnant and Didn't Know It?' Lol) Oh yes, not only was she pregant but she was in fact due BEFORE me! Her first doctor's appointment was at 23 weeks and she found out during that initial visit they were having a boy;) Crazy huh?

As I was only 5 days away from delivering our own bundle of goodness when the new family of four paid us a weekend visit, I wasn't able to do his newborn session (you know I'm in bad shape when I'm so miserable I'm not able to bring myself to take pictures!) However, I got a super duper treat as they returned over Thanksgiving and we were able to do a quickie session for their Christmas card (quickie session as in get everyone in front of the camera, try to shoo the dog out of the picture, chase down 'A' as she's running after toys with B...'click' 'click' 'click'. YAY! We did it! Now mommies rush off to change clothes and head out the door for girly time minus kiddos. Whewf!). Because she's just too adorable not to share, here's a snap of big sister 'A'.........and yes, if you think she's gorgeous, wait till you see the pics (later post) of her mommy & daddy and you'll understand where she gets her model-looks from!
