Doesn't know what they're talking about because I happen to know he can! If you've followed us over on the family blog you already know I have a Batman series that I've been compiling. So of course when I was piddling around one of my fave sites and came across this genius set-up I was all sorts of excited to give it my own twist as it compliments our chalk collection perfectly too!!
They're baaaaaaaack....as in this is not our first, not our second, not even third but FIFTH session together! With Mr. C now 4 and Ms. E 2, we figured they were the perfect age to embark on an urban safari;) Explore and play.....oh yes we did! (And while I've got his attention, I'd like to take this opportunity to once again thank kiddo's dad for writing my full name and number on the wall in an effort to aid the police in their investigation for the parties responsible for the 'artwork'. I owe you one....just wait!)
[**Special thanks to my assistant Julia for all her help!!]
I love how with so many of the families I meet, though initially they begin as 'clients' by the end of our time, it no longer feels appropriate to use that term as I certainly consider them so much more. Indeed friends!! Such was the case yet again!
Remember that day back in May when everyone was a buzz because the world was supposed to end? Yeah, well I can tell you it didn't and instead I got to spend the afternoon with this cool family of 3!! ;) Our mission? To capture real life - their life. We enjoyed a laid back afternoon in their home where I was able to peek into their world and share in some of little guy's favorite toys, activities, and songs. (Yes, at one point I did join in the singing......part way through I realized everyone else had stopped and I was the solo act. Pretty sure I embarrassed myself horribly but they were kind enough not to point out that I should stick with my day job). Doesn't B have the brightest blue eyes??? Between those and that sweet smile it's no wonder mommy and daddy are wrapped so tightly around every single one of those tiny fingers!
Oh my goodness this session was a blast! Granted, it's already turned unseasonably warm here in Kansas City and the afternoon of our session was no exception. By the time it was said and done I looked like I'd run a 1/2 marathon, but boy oh boy did we have lots of fun! 3 year old J is quite the speedy fellow, but I came prepared with more than a few tricks up my sleeve. Don't be surprised if sometime in the near future you open your mailbox to find the latest Pottery Barn Kids catalog with Mr. J on the cover. ;)
So great meeting you three and looking forward to seeing you again this fall!

As I earlier posted several spring-time clothing suggestions for the girls, it's due time we give the boys a little attention; so here's some fun examples to get you thinking about possibilities for your littlest guy!
It's always bittersweet for me.......newborn clients returning on their 1st birthday. Oh of course it feels amazing building relationships with clients over time and having them return again and again for important milestones, but its very much a reminder to me how quickly time passes and just how fast these little ones grow and change! (Oh, and also that I'm getting OLD! Lol) It's these fleeting years that we really would like to bottle up, keeping them small for just a little bit longer!
