He's turning 1!! -- Kansas City child photographer

It's always bittersweet for me.......newborn clients returning on their 1st birthday. Oh of course it feels amazing building relationships with clients over time and having them return again and again for important milestones, but its very much a reminder to me how quickly time passes and just how fast these little ones grow and change! (Oh, and also that I'm getting OLD! Lol) It's these fleeting years that we really would like to bottle up, keeping them small for just a little bit longer!

So a dear friend of mine commissioned me to do a particularly sentimental project for her. Her youngest one has this special thing he does with his prized blankie. Ever since he was teeny tiny he'd come to her toting the blankie and asking in his unique way for her to hold him.;) Needless to say he's getting older and she sensed those days of sharing cherished cuddle time were drawing to a close; she wanted to get few images for the scrapbooks.

P.S. her instincts proved right.....we got these pics just in time;)

It's that time of year again, the fiinal 'hurrah' of summer has now come and gone! Luckily for some of us the holiday included the beach;) Is it too soon to start looking forward to the return of summer next year?
